Healthy Malden, Inc. Annual Bowlathon 2009
Healthy Malden
The Buccaneer Bowl-A-Thon took place on Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Town Line Ten Pin in Malden. Those hoping to make a difference in the health of Malden came dressed in their buccaneer outfits to win the Best Dressed contest (or in their everyday gear whatever was more comfortable) and joined us in a night of fun!
Their donations not only benefitted those that took part in our annual bowlathon by being tax deductible due to our 501c3 status, but it also ensured that a part of their tax money stayed in Malden. Their financial support helped us in creating and managing programs and task forces that we run, such as the Elder Scholarship Program, our Substance Abuse or Youth Violence Prevention Task Forces, our Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities assessment, or any of the many others. All of these are our way of improving the health and safety of the entire community and this invariably helps your business, your business conditions, and your workforce.
2009's top teams were: First Place, Kezer and Kezer Law Firm; Second Place, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School; Third Place, Rucci, Bardaro, and Barrett; and Best Dressed, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School
